History
Founding
2002
For several years, Rakovník region lacked a company that would give a chance to return to employment to more than four hundred unemployed people with changed working ability in the region. At the beginning of 2002, the first sheltered workshop in the district was established by the company Milena Círová – ASPO, whose basic goal and mission was to enable employment opportunities and inclusion of people with various types of disabilities, i.e. those who, due to health limitations, find it difficult to find employment and who often would not be able to compete with healthy citizens in a tough job competition due to their disability. These protected workshop workers performed simple manual work. The involvement of people with disabilities had and has a primarily social aspect. The basis of the protected workshop was and still is orders, where the customer supplied the material and machines and ASPO employees carried out the individual orders. As the company developed and the number of domestic orders grew, orders for foreign countries were gradually implemented, mainly due to the Czech Republic’s accession to the EU in 2004.
New facilities
2006
In 2006, a steadily growing clientele forced the owner to look for a new, larger facility for her business. In the same year she leaves the management of the company to her sons. Together they transform the company into ASPO CZ s.r.o. They are located in the premises on the outskirts of the royal town of Rakovník in the locality of Huřviny. After the reconstruction of the building, new production and storage areas, a loading ramp, a courtyard and spacious offices are being built here.
New premises
2006
Over time, these premises also became small and they rented warehouse and production space in the Rakovník hospital. There is a pleasant working environment for people with disabilities. In 2006, ASPO CZ s.r.o. was successfully certified by MOODY International Certification Ltd. for the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system, which it defends annually. Simultaneously with the transformation of ASPO into a limited liability company, ASPO CZ s.r.o. also starts assembling components in multinational companies, from which these products go all over the world.
Other premises are rented by ASPO CZ s.r.o. in the company ELEKTRO EDISON CZ s.r.o., which are used as a service center for warranty and post-warranty repairs of hand tools, household appliances, instantaneous heaters and other electrical appliances.
Unification of activities
2008
In 2008, most of the activities were transferred to the TOS premises, where simple manual work with different focuses (sorting, rework, quality control, calibration, remanufacturing, securitization, pre-assembly, production, packaging, marking, input/output control, box cleaning, material cutting, cutting, etc.) is gradually performed. In 2011 and 2012, the premises are being renovated and subsequently improved, particularly in the logistics and storage areas.
